Sarah is a trial lawyer who specializes in criminal defense and complex civil litigation. She represents individuals under investigation or prosecution by the Department of Justice, the New York County District Attorney’s Office, and other government entities. Sarah also represents and advises individuals and companies in commercial disputes in both state and federal court.
Before joining Max Nicholas LLC, Sarah served as a prosecutor in the Trial Division of the New York County District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor, Sarah investigated, charged, and tried a wide array of felony cases. In 2022, Sarah was appointed to the Office’s Hate Crimes Unit, where she focused on cases in which individuals had been targeted on the basis of their gender, race, or religion. Among other cases, during her time in the Hate Crimes Unit Sarah handled the investigation and charging of the individual responsible for a string of attacks on the Upper West Side of Manhattan between March and May 2023 against individuals of Asian descent.
Sarah graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in psychology and from Fordham Law School with honors. Prior to practicing law, Sarah worked as a corporate social responsibility officer for a logistics company in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is proficient in Spanish.
